Texas Human Resources Code § 31.036
Eligibility of Person Leaving the State
Financial Assistance and Service Programs · Administration of Financial Assistance and Services
A recipient of assistance who moves out of the state is no longer eligible for the assistance. However, a recipient's temporary absence from the state for reasons and for periods of time approved by the commission does not terminate the recipient's eligibility for assistance.
